Just a bit of argumentum ad absurdium. ;)
Absurdly expanding the “bet” of if the vaccine strains of the year are a good “bet”/mix for what does actually make the rounds.

Got my flu shot a few weeks back, hopefully it’ll be a good match. I could use a change of luck, health wise. My thyroid has gone into business for itself, ignoring my pituitary hormone’s orders. That’s increased my heart rate and output, raising my blood pressure and causing atrial arrhythmia, my osteoarthritis is acting up and I’m still ugly.
Would that those rouge thyroid cells fatigue… It wouldn’t fix ugly, but it’d at least leave me not having to eat 4000+ calories a day to avoid losing more weight.

Not sure vaccines count as a gamble. For me they’re a pretty safe bet but we’ve just gone through the exercise of having a bunch of products certified as halal and it seems to be based on ingredients, not philosophy. Interesting thought, though!!

I just bumped into this article and wonder, as that state is also against gambling, wouldn’t the influenza vaccine also be haram? After all, it’s based upon the educated “bet” from the WHO and other sources on which strain of influenza makes the rounds this year. ;)

As for their web filtering, let’s just say that I firmly believe that they’re bint haram ibn Iblis.*

*My conversational Arabic is atrocious, my ability to use profanity in multiple languages is exceptionally good. After all, when someone starts talking about mom, in most nations, a knife is soon in being produced.
